Cabarrus Community

Kellswater is located in the Cabarrus County city of Kannapolis, North Carolina, and is part of a larger vibrant community including neighboring towns and the city of Charlotte, NC’s largest urban area. Kannapolis, itself, is home to the new North Carolina Research Campus (NCRC), a partnership with universities and private industry to further advance biotechnology, nutrition and health.

Kellswater is blessed with an abundance of spiritual, recreational, arts, shopping, dining, and educational opportunities in nearby surrounding areas. See details in “Attractions.”

Kellswater Bridge’s convenient location on Kannapolis Parkway only 3.5 miles from I-85, exit 54, gives its residents easy access to commercial venues in numerous locales, including Concord Mills, North Carolina’s most visited attraction, just minutes away, and to other shopping opportunities in the area.

The huge campus of Carolinas Medical Center Northeast, featuring the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital is an easy 15 minute drive from Kellswater.

The families of Kellswater Bridge enjoy the extraordinary convenience of having Charles T. Boger Elementary School, Northwest Cabarrus Middle School and Northwest Cabarrus High School on a campus neighboring the community providing grades K-12. The schools are part of the highly-rated Cabarrus County School system.   The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is only 15 minutes away; and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with its associate degree and continuing education programs is a mere 5 minutes from Kellswater.

The newest and most modern YMCA campus in Cabarrus County is just four miles from Kellswater. The Carolina Panthers, the Charlotte Bobcats and the Kannapolis Intimidators offer fans nearby opportunities to support these professional teams as well as see their favorite NASCAR drivers at the Lowes Motor Speedway, just 15 minutes from Kellswater.

The Village at Kellswater Bridge is the residential portion of Kellswater. Within the Kellswater Bridge community the southern traditional homes have custom designed features throughout and are carefully crafted by local and regional homebuilders who have been designated Kellswater Approved Builders for the quality of their workmanship. Home styles include Courtyard Cottages, Patio Homes, Southern Traditional Homes, Estate Homes and Townhomes, ranging in price from the mid-$200,000’s to over $800,000.

Residents enjoy tree-lined streets, miles of sidewalks, pocket parks, acres of greenspace, walking trails and a multi-million-dollar Residents’ Club with clubhouse and recreation area including a resort-style pool with a lap area, tennis courts, a basketball court, a sand-filled volleyball court, playground and picnic shelter.

Two extraordinary features of the Kellswater Bridge community are (1) its Fiber to the Home program providing phone service (including virtually unlimited national long-distance), high speed internet, TV and monitored security by the homeowners association; and (2) its lawn maintenance program providing each residence year-round lawn care including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, shrubbery trimming and pine needle refreshing.

The planned Kellswater Bridge Town Center is located at the entrance to the Village at Kellswater Bridge, within easy walking/biking distance of all residences. The Town Center will be home to community and service type businesses, such as childcare, banks, salons, cleaners, and eateries, as well as office buildings and small retail.

Adjacent to the Village at Kellswater Bridge are the Kellswater Corporate Center and Kellswater Commons which will offer space for larger offices, medical offices and facilities and larger regional type retail and restaurants.

Kellswater Bridge is a mixed-use community with a style reminiscent of days past, when small-town values were important. Greeting neighbors from the comfort of your front-porch rocking chairs as they take an evening stroll, meeting neighbors at the Town Center ice cream parlor, joining in a late afternoon game of volleyball, picnicking with friends and family in the park…all make for a true sense of community.
